Our club training sessions are conducted by Chris Hurley and Peter Winton.
Meeting at the club boat shed in Davall Street, Currumbin:
· Tuesday 4:00pm – juniors and seniors
· Thursday: 4:00pm – junior and seniors
· Saturday: 7:00am – beginners and juniors
*Club kayaks and ocean skis available for use.

ALL MEMBERS – GENERAL TRAINING
Club training session for all members is held on every third (3rd) Saturday of the Month.
Involves wash riding, interval sessions, technique advice, race strategies, surf skills and team boat sessions.
Starting at 7:00am from the creek bank in front of the Currumbin RSL club.
Ocean Ski Paddling
LEARN TO PADDLE
All equipment is provided for this three (3) week “Introduction to Ski Paddling” program. Conducted from the creek bank in front of the Currumbin RSL Club – starting at 9:00am.
Generally the first three (3) Saturdays of the month – except January & December.
Cost: $25.00/person/session – includes ski & paddle hire.
Participants must have a reasonable level of fitness and must be able to swim 50m fully clothed.

INFORMAL OCEAN PADDLING GROUP
A group of “like minded” ski paddlers gather at Winders Park (Currumbin) each Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 4:00pm for an offshore paddle.
Paddlers must be experienced in surf and ocean paddling conditions to participate and PFDs are complusory.
This is not a club sanctioned training session but is posted for information only. Club and non-club members do particpate.

Club Monthly Handicap Races
Held on the first Saturday of every month – except January.
A standard 7.5km course beginning at Currumbin RSL Club to Thrower Bridge and then upstream to Wendts Bridge and back to finish at the RSL Club. The aim of a handicap race is to have all paddlers cross the finish line at approximately the same time. Great for training and motivation to improve fitness and performance. This event is held the 1st Saturday of each month starting at 7:00am.
